What is a super clone watch?
A super clone is the highest tier of clone — a watch built to copy a specific reference down to the movement, the dial finish, the bezel and the case dimensions, rather than just the look from a distance.
Which super clone watch is the best?
It depends on the reference and the factory. Clean Factory's Cal.4130 Daytona, the AP Royal Oak and the Patek Nautilus are benchmarks — the right factory for the exact reference matters as much as the reference itself.
Are super clone watches worth it?
For wearing and enjoying a specific design, a quality super clone is convincing and good value. As an investment or a genuine substitute (resale, warranty, solid gold), it is not — those are the category's hard limits.
How do I spot a fake?
Check the movement first — the correct caliber and complication behaviour — then the dial finish, bezel action, weight and (on Rolex) the cyclops and rehaut. The movement is the fastest tell.
How much should a good super clone cost?
Quality super clones with a cloned in-house movement run from a few hundred dollars to just over a thousand. A complicated reference offered suspiciously cheap usually means a shortcut on the movement.
